Newport Town Forest Hike – September 3, 2020

It was a beautiful day to meet up with friends and go for a hike and then an afternoon swim, so that’s what we did.

We met with our Newport friends in their neck of the woods to hike The Pinnacle at the Newport Town Forest. We took the easy way up and came a winding way down after a picnic lunch at the top. The kids managed the hike really well, even Lorelei for the most part, but she was tired on the way down so I did carry her to keep up. We learned a fun new game and lots of exploring.

And then we whipped over to Kezar Lake to cool off! But of course a big cloud came over… never the less it was still fun to splash about as the water temperature is still pretty nice.
