Charlestown Story Walk – October 29, 2020
Today we met friends in their hometown of Charlestown, NH to enjoy a story walk hosted by the local library. The book was Room on the Broom and took us up and down the main street. I have driven through Charlestown many moons ago, but it was so nice to stop and walk the street and admire all the beautiful old buildings and hear some fun anecdotes from locals about the place they call home. So on with some photos…
After the story walk we bought lunch at a newly opened deli and stayed dry (it started to rain) in the town hall which was great for the kids to run around in before the drive home. The library building was really pretty but unfortunately had some scaffolding at the moment, I guess I will just have to come back again to admire it.
Then it was a very rainy afternoon at home so we attempted to make the gingerbread haunted house Vava sent the girls…
But well, kids are not very gentle with delicate gingerbread houses and it ended in a natural disaster but hey, they got to eat the jelly beans in the end! For more photos click here or watch below…
