This morning started bright and early prepping the turkey for tomorrow.
The girls were pretty interested in the whole process and even excited because we did see our turkey out at the farm a couple weeks ago, they were talking as if they personally knew it haha!
Then peeking out the window we spied a lonely bufflehead.
And just when you think all the excitement is over we watched a Coopers Hawk take out a pigeon and drown it in the river before snacking on it. The picture below is after it took it out of the water and was sitting on the “beaver tree” in the river with the pigeon safely dead under its talons.
Then after the kiddos are finally in bed, after a triumphant win by me of Qwirkle… I make a peach pie using the filling I prepped at the end of summer, yay me! So much easier than prepping all those peaches now!
And hopefully it comes out of the oven looking perfect… that’s for tomorrows post! Sleep tight!
