Today we started with Aurelia’s 3rd day of learning to read and I would say we are still on to something good. Then once we got Virgil down for his nap we went out to clean pony poop and then ride. We saddled up Blitzen first and Aurelia practiced asking her to keep walking using her legs (the bridle and bit did arrived today but not until late so fingers crossed it all fits and we can use it tomorrow!)
Then we saddled up Éclair for some trotting and steering. Aurelia is soooo close to “getting” the rising trot. Eclair does have a little short pony stride but nothing the kids won’t soon get used to.
These ponies are just so sweet and are doing great keeping the kids busy.
Then after lunch and grocery shopping we decided to go scootering and then practice on the “big” bike. Aurelia finally realized she isn’t going to crash and is finally ok with pedaling on her own. She still wants a bit of a push to get going but she can safely steer and stoop on her own, though she won’t leave the grass just in case haha.
A great day here. For more photos and video click here or watch below…
