A sunny start to the day before it ended with a bit of rain. Our adventure today was a wagon ride to the post office to send a parcel, but of course I check the weather before we leave and think it will be fine but no. Once the parcel is all set to go it started to rain so we hid out in the covered ramp for a while, then when the rain lightened up we started home, but then there was another down pour so we ran into a neighbors barn until that lightened up before dashing home. The girls thought it was funny tucked in under a towel while I was running down the street getting wet. Oh well.

And then tonight once the girls were in bed I spotted the great blue heron in the river. It was pretty dark but I managed some ok photos him hanging out. When I started to creep closer he flew away, he is pretty shy.
