Found another place less than an hours drive away that is open and fun! Path of Life Garden in Windsor, VT. A little gem of a place along the Connecticut River and conveniently next door to Harpoon Brewery and Restaurant.

We met some friends there to explore the garden, the hedge maze, we almost swam in the river but the kids were toast, and enjoy all the art work and spaces available. Then afterwards rewarded ourselves with a picnic lunch and beer at the brewery.

You enter through the Tunnel of Oblivion… and are born! Then quickly make your way into a hedge maze that has a bell to ring when you find the center. It took us a while… four kids all taking their own path, but we found it.

Then you follow the mowed track in the field to explore all the stages of life as either art installations or just unique spaces.

This is a great place to get outdoors and play for kids and adults. So after we went back through the tunnel the kids played at the playground and had their picnic lunch.

So once we had enjoyed a drink at the brewery it was time for these kids to take a nap in the car. We driver back the scenic route and swam at home. The water is so nice even with the level being pretty low.

Then to wrap the day up we enjoyed a dinner at the fire station. Phew, what a day! But it was a great day!
